A warm 'Hello' to my fellow readers! This
is Jay and welcome to my digital diary called 'The Roaring 20's'. Let me tell
you something about myself first and then why this funky thing called ''The
Roaring 20's'' exists.
Since this is my first post here at Engineers'
Burger, I must clarify a few things.
Though I have completed my early
education from a renowned English medium school, I'm not a great writer nor a
great English speaker. That is what I think. Thinking negatively urges me to
improve at something. When you will read the posts written by me, they might
sound pathetic for the great English readers out here. My English might not
sound like an ideal reading material that you would read. You might encounter
several grammatical mistakes in a sentence, poor sentence formation, constant
usage of a specific set of engineering vocabulary and so on. So in short it
will sound totally informal in tone and like I am physically speaking in front
of you. But, I must continue writing stuff that I might want to share with you
and in this process of writing I might actually end up writing beautifully!
My name is Jay Akbari and I'm doing my
engineering. It's just the matter of time. If you study in India and
fortunately or unfortunately pursue so called 'engineering', from the first day
of your engineering life you must act and live like an engineer. You are an
engineer from the 1st day of your college. If not you, then at least I am! It's
just the respective degree certificate that you will end up with after 4 great
years which would give you the license to officially call yourself an engineer.
Why the name "THE ROARING 20's"?
I am highly enlightened by the following
quote by Mark Twain.
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did so. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."- Mark Twain
I breathe this quote each and every day.
I'm about to turn 20 years old this 20th of October. "20's" refer to the range of
numbers from 20 to 30. That is 20, 21, 22, 23 and so on up to 30. These numbers
here depict age. So in short "20's" refer to the range of one's age from
20, till 30. I consider this age group of ours the most powerful and vital age
group of our lives. In our 20's we have that rigor, motivation and physical
strength to achieve anything we want. During this age group we can deliver
maximum output of our efforts whose results we would bear rest of our lives.
Whatever you do in your twenties becomes the part of your entire life.
That's what I believe.
You know-a lion roars and a sheep bleats.
So like a fearless lion, ROAR in your twenties such that it echoes rest of your
life. Stand up, work hard towards your goals, fuel your dreams and be fearless
so you could make the most out of your 20's!
With this idea, I named my digital diary -
"THE ROARING 20's".
What is in - "THE ROARING 20's"?
